Jon Gosselin couldn't resist partially laying the blame - or at least taking shots at - the paparazzi, despite his own decisions to cheat on his wife with Deanna Hummel and put his eight kids on a reality show in the first place.

But we digress. Jon and Kate's announcement was far from a shock, but was made official last night and accompanied by dual statements from the Gosselins.

In his statement to the media, Jon said:

"This afternoon, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my number one priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe."

"My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesn’t change that."
